G R E A T T O S E E Y O U !
Oasis Family Church partnered with the Vineyard Churches of Aotearoa New Zealand in August 2022. Just like Oasis Family Church, Vineyard churches are contemporary and relaxed, empowered evangelical in style, and love welcoming new people.
Here at Oasis, we love meeting new people so whether you've been a follower of Jesus for a while or have never stepped foot inside a church before, we welcome you to come as you are, you'll be sure to find a friendly hello.

W H A T H A P P E N S A T C H U R C H?
Join us at 09:45 am for morning tea and fellowship. Our service starts at 10:00 am and runs till 11:15 am.
If you cannot make it to our 'in-house' service, join us online at 10:00 am Sunday, click HERE to view our live stream service.
I'm not a Christian - am I welcome?
Absolutely! Our doors are open to everyone, as we believe that the good news of Jesus is for everyone. We would love to help you to explore this good news and to put your faith in Jesus. Our church services are a great place for you to do this.
Where do I go? Is there parking?
We meet at The Foundry on John Street at 09:45 am each Sunday. Look for the flags.
Finding a car park on Sunday near the Foundry is easy. There are heaps of street parking on John Street, Henry Street, and Seymour Street. We try and keep the parks in the Foundry car park free for those who attend with young children, have low mobility, or who attend the adjacent Methodist Church.
What happens during the service?
When you arrive at Oasis, expect a warm welcome. A regular member will greet you at the front door and invite you in. Our service goes for just over an hour involving, singing/worship, prayer, readings from the Bible, and a sermon. There is also plenty of time to meet people after the service. We don't expect everyone to be a Christian, so you'll never be asked to do or say anything that you don't want to. Our hope is simply that you will come to a deeper understanding of who Jesus is and what it means to follow Him.
Feel free to participate in as much or as little as you would like. When we celebrate communion there is no pressure to participate.
Oasis exists not because of something new (like our community) nor something old (like a building), but because of something timeless; God's work to rescue and renew the world through Jesus. Though most of our family at our service are those with young families or empty nesters, each Sunday you'll find a diverse range of people and a warm welcome.
Will I be asked to give money?
No, you will not be asked to give any money. If you feel the need to give, the money you generously give enables Oasis Family Church to do all that God is inviting us to – to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ! Because of your support, our church can play its part in seeing lives transformed, communities impacted, and the world changed. Everything we do at Oasis Family Church is made possible by your giving. Thank you.
On Sunday there is a letter box in the Foundry where donations can be made, or click HERE to give electronically.
Are children welcome?
Absolutely! At Oasis we want to see children get to know Jesus and grow together. We have a variety of programmes on offer catering for children up to the age of 15.
Creche - under 2.5 years old
Pounamu - 2.5 - 5 years old
Connect - 5 - 10 year olds
789TEN - 11 - 15 year olds
Our children's ministry leaders are trained and checked (safe ministry) because we know kids need to be looked after.
